Ibn Masiud said:
“If the wisdom of Umar were placed in the scale of a balance,
and the wisdom of living things upon the earth in the other scale,
the wisdom of Umar would outweigh them,
and verily the people used to think that Umar carried nine-tenth of the wisdom of the world.”
